New Website Coming...Hot Diggity Dog!

Well it's official. I'm starting a website where my items will be available for purchase! It will take a few weeks, if not months, before we are up and running but I have high hopes for this little venture. Thank you to all of you who have e-mailed me with interest in my items. There have been enough of you that it convinced me that it is definitely time to make shopping with A Touch of Mink a lot easier. I'm so stinkin' excited it's ridiculous! I will have a furniture section, home decor, clothing and pet sections and my prices will remain at the very reasonable levels you have come to expect from A Touch of Mink. The cotton boll wreaths will be listed (they arrive from South Carolina in November!) as well as many many home decor items, burlap chairs, lighting, one size fits all muslin bloomers and aprons, feed sack upholstered items, burlap pillows and one of a kind finds from all over this great country! Everything 100% made in the glorious USA!

As a kick off to my new adventure I've decided to try something I've never done before. I'm going to have a giveway. I'm planning it right now. So check back soon for details. You must be a follower of my blog to be entered so if you haven't already joined my follower list now is a good time to get clickin'! Have a great weekend! Kiama

Vintage Curtains from A Touch of Mink on Ebay

I've decided to finally feed my addiction to vintage curtains and curtains in general by opening a business on Ebay to sell them. I haven't yet created A Touch of Mink storefront but I do have several listings started and so far they have been selling well. Gosh I do love those big sprays of roses and florals on those vintage romantic curtains! Here are a few pictures of what I have. Soon I will have a link on my blog directly to Ebay if you'd like to purchase any of these charming little numbers. Most of my listings will start at under $20 with no reserve. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Kiama

Here are the descriptions from top to bottom:

Pair of French blue pleated drapes-so elegant.

Toile gold sheer with little birds.

Pair of huge French Country curtains. Wide and pleated!

Charming huge set of 3 rod pocket vintage shabby roses curtains. Lined.

A lined and interlined pair of pleated floral curtains with gorgeous sprays of roses!

Preparing for a Flea Market

I have had a really inspiring and productive couple of weeks over here. After I went to the Barnhouse Boys Flea Market 2 weeks later I ventured off with my friend Jane to the Clayson Farm Flea Marekt in Yakima. We had a great day! The best find of all though was a personal one. I've been hunting and hunting for some vintage day dresses for myself and Jane (with her awesome eye) found a boatload of them for me at an antique store and wouldn't you know it they all fit like they were made just for me! yeah!
Leslee at Clayson Farm invited me to be a vendor next year and I can hardly wait. I will put aside some awesome things just for that day! I also was invited to be a vendor at the Sandpoint Flea Market in Seattle in November. I am busy scrounging up some chairs to restyle for that event. I will also have my cotton boll wreaths, tea towels and burlap pillows there.

Pictured here are a set of chairs I just finished. I've sold the first pair (thank you Jan-Maire) and I'm finishing up the second pair. $95 for the pair. The bee and wreath give it that little something extra, don't you think?

Enjoy the day!

A Fabulous Day at the Barnhouse Boys Flea Market

My friend Traci and I headed down to the Barnhouse Boys Flea Market in Battleground, WA and boy did we have fun. Not only did we meet some super nice vendors and find some very charming treasures but we hit some other sales along the way down and back. Some fun things will be showing up in our booths very soon! Here are a few pics to highlight our day. Have a great week! Kiama
